ART COLOGNE
mit der vernissage am 20. april 2010, 17.00- bis 21.00 uhr, eröffnet die ART COLOGNE zum 44. mal. der internationale kunstmarkt beginnt am 21. und endet am 25. april 2010.
es werden dieses jahr rund 180 galerien kunst der klassischen moderne, nachkriegskunst und zeitgenössischer kunst präsentieren.

in 2010, the ART COLOGNE now opens for the 44th time with its vernissage on the 20. of april from 5pm-9pm.
the international art-market restarts on the 21. and ends on the 25. of april 2010.
this year, about 180 art-galleries with works from the classical modern, post-war and art from our times will be represented.

keith haring
"my contribution to the world is my ability to draw. I will draw as much as I can for as many people as I can for as long as I can. Drawing is still basically the same as it has been since prehistoric times. It brings together man and the world. It lives through magic."
in my eyes, keith haring, (may.4 1958 – february 16.1990) was one of the best artists ever lived, responding to the graffiti which arose in NYC and therefore being one of the main influences for my art.
his bold lines & bright colours which create active figures carrying strong messages of his environment, life and unity simply blow my mind.
it's not just the work represented on walls that is outstanding though, in fact his whole fashion that is worn out on the streets delivers certain messages and creates atmospheres that result in happiness jsut looking at it.

after he was born in reading, pennsylvania (USA), haring developed an early interest in art. he studied graphic design at the "Ivy School of Professional Art" in Pittsburgh from 1976-1978, but shortly after that, when keith was 19, he moved to new york city where his actual "career" started at the "School of Visual Arts" and where the establishment began to honor his work.
since then keith haring did everything possible to bring POP-ART to a next level, to display his work all over the globe and to enjoy his life to the fullest. in 1990 Haring sadly died due to AIDS-related complications.
